Kirk Chartier

Chief Development Officer

Kirk Chartier knows how to develop and manage business marketing capabilities that drive growth. He has experience in senior leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies in addition to work at three successive start-up companies where he grew revenues 30+%, and doubled or tripled net operating margins.

An expert in developing global business strategies that people can actually implement, Kirk’s deep understanding of how to target customers and get them to prefer a company’s products above all others has been leveraged by Zyman Group clients in a variety of industries, particularly in the financial services and high-tech sectors. He also has experience in telecommunications, retail, and media and entertainment industries (including producing independent movies).

Kirk is a dynamic leader who has been recognized by the President of the United States with individual and organizational medals and awards. He possesses a unique viewpoint on the interaction of leadership and strategy execution gained from his time with the US Marines, GE, and as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program.

A published author, Kirk writes about leadership and management issues in professional journals and speaks on leadership, quality, and technology issues at national and international conferences.

In addition to working with Zyman Group, Kirk served as Chief Strategy Officer for Safeco insurance and SVP, Global Product Marketing for EDS. He was a Partner in the marketing strategy consultancy Goodman & Company, Senior Vice President of Business Services at the software company CommerceQuest and Senior Director of Business Strategy and Alliance Marketing at the business consultancy Answerthink, and Business Development leader for THINK New Ideas—the first interactive advertising agency. He worked for the elite General Electric Corporate Audit Staff and spent 11 years as a staff officer and attack helicopter pilot in the US Marines.
