An expert in delivering double-digit growth within industrial businesses, Tim has over 25 years of marketing, sales, and general management experience within a wide range of industries, including energy, environmental and sustainability, building products and services, and wholesale distribution. He helps clients achieve accelerated top-line growth from renovated and new customer-centric product development, marketing strategies and sales channels. Additionally he leads CSG’s Next Horizon© pricing practice where we work with our clients to extract value from key pricing processes by identifying under-priced customer-product combinations using our proprietary customer indexing analyses and customer and product sensitivity analyses. Having been a practitioner in turn-around, private-equity and start-up environments, he knows how to get results quickly.
Formerly, Tim was SVP Marketing and Strategic Sourcing at private equity owned (Bain Capital) Unisource Worldwide, Inc. While at Unisource, marketing added over $150 million in shareholder equity in four-years through improving the value proposition, developing and launching the industry’s largest private brand and green product portfolios, and implementing world-class quantitative, data-driven price optimization.
Prior to Unisource, Tim was with Siemens in the USA and Germany, including VP Worldwide Marketing for Corporate Information and Operations (CIO) and leader of their Americas e-business consulting practice. While at CIO, he was part of the leadership team which developed and implemented Siemens global e-business transformation which delivered $1.5 billion in procurement costs savings and increased sales by $375 million. He also served in executive marketing positions at Siemens Building Technologies, Siemens Power Distribution and Control, and Siemens Center of e-Excellence. As a member of the Board of The World Business Academy, and Executive Director of the EthicMark Award presented at the Global Forum for Business as an Agent of World Benefit, co-convened by the United Nations Global Compact, he is also able to bring to his clients leading edge and practical insight into improving business performance through sustainable business practices.
Tim began his career with Honeywell in the 80’s in GM, sales and marketing roles. He earned his MBA from Kellogg, a BA at LaSalle, and is a former officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers. And whenever possible he enjoys the outdoors, especially scuba diving and hiking in the mountains, reading, home remodeling, and spiritual studies. He and his wife, Treesah, have two sons and live in the Atlanta, GA suburbs.
